Workshop Objectives: At the conclusion of this workshop, participants should be able to:
1. Use a systematic approach to analyze common ethical challenges in their clinical work. 2. Develop an approach to examining and challenging their weaknesses as they pertain to adherence to our ethics code, including issues related to HIPAA and HITECH. 3. Develop a plan to address gaps between laws, the ethics code, and actual practice, and begin to implement a systematic approach to address ethical challenges as they arise.

About Our Speaker
Jennifer L. Rockett, PhD
Dr. Jennifer Rockett is a licensed psychologist with over 20 years of experience providing clinical and forensic services in private practice, holding licensure in Texas, New York, and New Mexico. Dr. Rockett is the clinic director of her group practice and regularly provides consultation and supervision to clinicians wishing to venture into forensic psychology, including seasoned clinicians and students. She has served as Chair for the Texas Psychological Association Forensic Division and is the Past President of TPA, currently serving on TPA's Board of Trustees. Dr. Rockett's knowledge and expertise include assessing violence risk and mitigation, criminal competencies, and criminal responsibility. She regularly testifies in state and federal courts and is often called upon to review the work of other psychologists conducting this work. As a clinician, she has expertise in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, and individuals struggling with OCD. Dr. Rockett has expertise and experience in dealing with court orders and testimony within the context of her clinical work. On a personal note, Dr. Rockett is a proud mother of twins and LEO (Law Enforcement Officer) spouse. She enjoys writing, drawing, and painting and values creativity and humor.
