This presentation provides important regulatory and legislative updates for Texas licensed mental health providers. It will highlight recent statutory changes from the 89th Legislature, as well as key regulatory developments and emerging issues the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council anticipates will shape the 2028–2029 biennium.
As a current or future Texas licensee, you may have wondered:
What are the most common reasons licensees are sanctioned?

This is your chance to directly address your questions and ask for clarification from Mr. Darrel Spinks, Executive Director of the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council.
