Program Description: This case-focused presentation on “What Happens in Couple Therapy” will feature insider perspectives from four local experts on couple-based interventions for emotional, physical, and relational challenges. Topics will include working with older adult couples, couples facing medical concerns, couples struggling with sexual intimacy, and integrating issues of spirituality into couple therapy. Each presenter will share their personal narratives and inner dialogues as they navigated the complex therapy journey. Time will be allotted for CE participants to query and share their own challenges in managing nuances of the couple therapy process. Presenters (and respective cases) will portray couple therapy processes across diverse couples. Learning Objectives: By the end of this presentation, participants will:
