About our Speaker:
Dr. Brian Stagner is currently Director of Professional Affairs for the Texas Psychological Association (TPA). He is Clinical Professor Emeritus in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Texas A&M University. Dr. Stagner founded a multispecialty group practice in College Station. He’s been active in professional psychology throughout his career. He was Ethics Chair for the TPA (1992-7). He is past chair of the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists, past president of TPA, and two-term editor of the Texas Psychologist. Nationally, Dr. Stagner was Associate Member of the APA’s Ethics Committee, and a member of the Joint APA/ASPPB Task Force on Licensure Boards & Ethics Committees. He has represented Texas at APA’s Council of Representatives and is a member of APA’s Committee for the Recognition of Specialties and Subspecialties in Professional Psychology.
