Please join us for a 3 hour workshop presented by Dr. Carly E. McCord, Director of Telebehavioral Health at Texas A&M University.  Dr. McCord will be discussing advances in the use of telepsychology in expanding access to mental health services across rural and other underserved communities.  In addition to practice-based content, Dr. McCord's presentation will include review of legal and ethical considerations when utilizing telehealth technology in the delivery of mental health services. 

Continuing Education Credits:  3.0 CEUs will be offered.

About our Speaker:


Carly E. McCord, Ph.D. is the Director of TeleBehavioral Health at the Texas A&M Health Science Center and Clinical Services of the Telehealth Counseling Clinic (TCC, http://telehealthcounseling.org). Dr. McCord is also a licensed psychologist, Clinical Assistant Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Educational Psychology.  She has a proven and documented expertise in providing high-quality mental health services via long-distance technology, engaging rural communities in order to reduce mental health disparities, and starting a successful and innovative training and supervision model for telepsychology.  Dr. McCord systematically studies the mental health needs of clients of the TCC and the communities in which they reside, develops and refines intervention approaches, investigates the effectiveness of interventions, and evaluates satisfaction with services. In both research and practice she is well-versed in underserved populations, training and supervision, and telehealth.
